Janez Usenik (SLO)
Janez Usenik is best known as the witty journalist of the top Slovenian news show “24ur” (24 hours) on POP TV. He started as a radio speaker on Radio Student and later continued his radio path on Radio Antena.
He joined the POP TV team in 2001 and has covered different areas of journalism, from economy, politics, international relationships, sports to light entertainment.
Janez has been connected to comedy since his early ages, as he went from acting in Theatre Šentjakob to Improleague and stand up comedy, to which he was invited by Damjan Perne. Perne, as Janez describes, later took on an even more irresponsible job, as he became the mayor of Kranj, while Janez has kept performing with his musically themed show.
