Panč, third night
The curtain has fell and the last day of the Festival Panč has come to an end. Third night brought us lovely weather, fantastic attendance and smiling faces. There are a lot of plans for the future; we're preparing a winter edition of Panč too.
Last day's program was accompanied by an award ceremony for the best punch-line, a radio competition held by Radio Center. The award went into the hands of Boštjan Gorenc – Pižama. More info on www.radiocenter.si.
Panč, second night
We didn't have any luck with the weather on the second day. Even though we hoped that it's going to rain after 11pm, the storm reached Ljubljana half an hour before the show. The wind blew away everything it could, but we fast managed to prepare everything indoors, so the night went through just fine.
The comedians performed twice and the audience was waiting for the second show in the castle's bar, while the organisers were jumping around in the rain, singing rainy songs.
After the first evening
And it started. Panč. On the first evening the castle's yard was packed, punch-lines being delivered one after the other, laughing echoing within the walls. Because of the big wave of visitors, we started a little late and finished close to midnight. Today's situation is still 50:50, as their will be two shows in the Palacious arena, if there's rain.

It's time for Panč
What time it is? It's time for Panč!Here is the latest festival news:
- it looks like there isn't going to be any rain on Friday, so the show will start at 9pm outside in the castle's yard. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the price of €14 in the Kurz Rock Vibe office, at the Eventim's points of sale and at the entrance of the castle Ljubljana from 8pm on.
- parking : we kindly ask the visitors to arrive at the festival by foot, with a bicycle or with the funicular railway..
- the after party: after the show at the castle, we would like to invite everyone to the after party that will take place in the SubSub club. There will be an open mic on midnight, so if you think you're funny – here's your chance. (special announcement: music on Saturday will be taken care of by Klemen Bučan aka DJ Buchek). )

We would like to remind all the journalist, cameramen and photographers that the maximum limit for video clips of the festival’s show is 5 minute per night and 1 minute for each performer. Thank you for your understanding.

"The best punch" radio show
Festival Panč and Radio Center are offering a taste of stand-up comedy through THE BEST PUNCH competition!
THE BEST PUNCH competition features 10 Slovenian comedians from this year’s festival program that will compete on a radio show with their best joke. Starting from August 3rd, each day a comedian will present his joke on Radio Center and on the last week before the Festival Panč, you will be able to hear all of the jokes once again, pick your favorite one and vote through the website www.radiocenter.si. The comedian that receives the most votes, will be the winner.
The winner will be awarded by Radio Center and 2 lucky voters will each receive 2 tickets for the Festival Panč.
The festival nights will be long
During the Festival Panč nights won't end with the closing of each night's performance. The event will go on in the club SubSub, where each night there will be different activities, socializing and party.
The first night on Friday there will be an open mic, where everyone will get their five minutes. On Saturday night we expect the audience to give a feedback of the festival, as the comedians will read and comment »the guest book. « On the last night we will party and celebrate the second birthday of Festival Panč.
All visitors of the festival will have a free entry to the SubSub after party, where the events will start approximately at midnight.
Visitors with a sweet tooth will be taken care of
During the Panč festival visitors will every evening be provided with Maxim ice-cream from Ljubljanske mlekarne.
In order to further sweeten the evenings of laughter, the festival in collaboration with Ljubljanske mlekarne are once again providing free ice-cream for all festival visitors. The ice cream will be available for the taking before and after the shows.
This is another reason for all you people with a sweet tooth out there not to miss the festival.

We are most pleased to announce, that all eightteen comics have confirmed their attendance at the Punch stand-up comedy festival. Detailed daily lineup with additional information about each performer will be announced shortly. The Punch team is most proud, that this year's festival will once again showcase the finest in slovenian stand-up comedy. A dozen slovenian stand-up comics will perform the selection of their best bits from the last year. On top of that the festival will feature four of the best croatian stand-up comics, and two english speaking internationally renowned stand-up comedy stars, one from New Zealand and one from the United Kingdom.

Welcome to he new website of Punch, the second international stand-up comedy festival. The festival preparations are under way, and from 21st to 23rd of August there will be laughter echoing down from the Ljubljana castle. All the information about the festival will be available on this website, in a few days the complete lineup will be announced, and before the festival all additional information for festival visitors will be announced on this website, and during the festival all news and festival activities will be reported here.
So, dear visitors, you are invited to the second slovenian stand-up comedy festival with international lineup, where the top slovenian stand-up comics will be performing their best bits from last year. LONG LIVE PUNCH!
Organization and execution of such festival is definitely positive for the development of stand-up comedy in Slovenia, and huge attendance only confirms the fantastic presentation and promotion of this genre, which is quality-wise clearly on the rise. That was clearly visible in Ljubljana. I truly enjoyed it, thumbs up.
